Interior
The C70 seats four adults and features ergonomically shaped front seats. Pushing a button on the backrest of each front seat moves them forward to allow access to the rear seats. To compensate for the lack of a fixed roof, the A- and B-pillars, doors and sills have all been reinforced to defray the force of a collision. Side curtain airbags inflate upward from the doors in the C70. For added protection, these airbags deflate slowly in the event of a rollover — a feature Volvo claims is unique in the industry. Front passengers are also protected with side-impact airbags. An electronic stability system and antilock brakes are standard.
