After dropping the Z8 in 2003, there are rumors that the sports car will get a successor after 2010. About Z4 there are no news at this date. The Z6 will succeed the BMW Z4 and will arrive in 2010 as a larger coupe and convertible which will be more expensive than the Z4. The car is said to be an Audi R8 rival.
In 2010, BMW will launch the X1, a small crossover. The X3 will be redesigned in 2010 and the X5 in 2009 or 2010.
The first future model coming from BMW is the X6 that will be launched next week in Frankfurt, a model that wants to compete with Mercedes R-Class. When there is the 1-Series going on sale in the United States in spring of 2008: the 128i powered by a 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine producing 230 horsepower with 200 lb-ft of torque and the 135i powered by a 3.0 liter 6-clyinder twin-turbo engine that produces 300 horsepower with 300 lb-ft of torque.
